In September 1978, a group from Germany — Wilhelm Gerl, Burkhard Peter, and I — visited Milton Erickson at his place in Phoenix. We had heard about him, when Stephen Gilligan and Paul Carter had been here in Munich at our Institute for Integrated Therapy to give a workshop on Ericksonian hypnosis.
